Australia ACMA Amateur Radio Standard Exam
Free theory preview for the Australia ACMA Amateur Radio Standard Exam. Standard is the intermediate qualification level: it requires an intermediate knowledge of amateur radiocommunications, and since 19 February 2024 an ACMA recognition certificate (or equivalent) is the required qualification to operate amateur radio in Australia. These 20 original practice questions and 20 flashcards are drafted to Standard-level difficulty across four domains: radio theory and electrical fundamentals, transmitters/receivers/antennas, operating procedures and interference, and electrical/RF safety plus Australian rules. Note that the real assessment also contains a practical component and a regulatory component, and this preview tests theory and applied knowledge only; it cannot replicate the hands-on practical assessment, nor does it reproduce official examination papers. Questions apply stable technical principles and only those administrative rules stated in the official ACMA sources listed; band allocations and power limits are deliberately not asserted because they change and should be verified in the current ACMA instruments.
